Equality should not just be written in the law but has to be followed. The law might say that each and every person, in spite of his race, age, gender, sex, physical ability etc., is equal to the law and everyone must be given due respect. But that is not the case happening all over the world, and hence in San Diego also. There are a number of cases reported on discriminating on several bases in San Diego and it is really very heartening to hear. The worst case of it is discriminating on basis of physical ability. The major area which experiences the problem is the work environment. The people with physical disability are often discriminated. They are left out of work, they are given little work with no respect, they are given the last priority and they are abused and harassed during work. Like this there are many other ways by which the person is discriminated due to his physical disability. There are also cases in housing, where the physically disabled person is not given the respect and not allowed to settle down. Such types of discrimination have been reported all over San Diego all these years and many people have been brought under justice and punished accordingly.
